Seminar FAQ's
1. What's taught in the weekend and three evening seminars?
I cover the basics of Screenwriting from concept through screenplay. I give practical tools that help the writer find their best story, structure it, write it, and market it.
2. Do you include any material?
There's a comprehensive workbook, a screenplay from a produced feature film, and handouts from the Writer's Guild of America.
3. What makes your seminar different?
Many fine lecture classes will give the writer information, but little or no follow up and support. I want the writers in my classes to have success beyond the seminar. To that end, writers are invited to send in a screenplay based on work established in the workshop for a 50% discount - that's up to a $250 value.
4. How's that work?
Up to four weeks after the end of the weekend (or evening) seminar a student may submit an outline, or a script. They will then be given a written analysis of their work that covers all aspects of Screenwriting.
5. What happens if I don't make the deadline?
Students who have scripts that are not a product of a workshop or those who want to submit beyond the 4 week period are welcome to do so subject to a standard consultation fee.
